Attorneys General Tackle Internet Safety at NAAG Summit
On Tuesday May 12, I had the chance to attend a two-day conference of the National Association Attorneys General (NAAG) in Philadelphia, PA, on behalf of Safe Internet Alliance and one of its members, my organization, Stop Child Predators.
The NAAG Presidential Initiative Summit theme was “The Year of the Child: Protecting and Empowering the Next Generation,” and it was hosted by the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) President and Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch and Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett.
The conference included numerous panels on Internet safety, privacy and what kind of online environment kids and teens are experiencing. In fact, two of Safe Internet Alliance’s other members, iKeepSafe and Microsoft, spoke on a panel that focused on “Current Trends in Online Safety Technology”.
